About I was born in 1976 in Oslo, Norway. My formal education is in social sciences and IT from the University of Oslo. During the 90s I video recorded a few weddings for family. I also video recorded a few events for JVP, my dad's event management company (www.jvp.no). I am to some extent self-taught in video production, through self-study of books, practice, trial and error. But I've also received good advice from my dad Jo Vestly who was TV-producer in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) during the 70s and 80s. He introduced me to cameras in the early 80s when I learned how to operate the family's Super-8 film camera. Later I used Super-VHS and Hi8 until DV was introduced in the mid-90s. Since spring 2008 I have made video streams for Internet in addition to DVDs in co-operation with a few different organizers. For projects that require more than one person such as multicamera operations, I bring in extra crew. I have a license for Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, a professional video editing program. Our primary camera types are the Sony VX2100 and PD150 that we use together with Manfrotto tripods, video lights, external microphones and other accessories:
